Har ki Doon valley is set in the laps of Govind Ballabh National Park and perched at an altitude of 3,566m above sea level. The valley is a famous trekking destination and a paradise for bird watchers. The trek to Har ki Doon is of moderate difficulty and recommended to fit beginners and experienced trekkers. According to the mythological facts, the valley was chosen as a path to reach the Swargarohini Parvat from which the Pandavas went to heaven. Har ki Doon trek will take you through dense forests, lush meadows, river streams, quaint villages & hamlets, unique variety of flora and fauna, along with the snow-laden mountains. The best time to visit Har ki Doon is from May to June and September to March. The trail is not gentle, it has steep climbs, ascend & descends, and becomes tougher with snow. Har ki Doon is a wonderful adventure that starts from Sankri village near Dehradun.

Also, get a chance to spot the rare species of animals like the brown bear, snow leopard, musk deer, or the blue sheep. The trek is of 10-12 days and is an easy to moderate difficulty level. Another scenic spot in Uttarakhand the moon rock or Chandrashila peak is perched at an elevation of 13,00ft and surely will give you a lifetime experience. The trek to Chandrashila top via Chopta and Tungnath is the most scenic one. The trek is an easy to moderate one and can be covered in 4-5 days. One can also get a chance to see the Deoriatal lake surrounded by vast green pastures, tall deodar trees, and amazing views of the Chaukambha peak. From Chopta the trek is of 4 km to the top which passes via the highest Shiva Temple- the Tungnath temple. Feel the tranquility in the surroundings and experience the best of nature from the temple. One can see the captivating views of Nanda Devi, Kedar Peak, Trishul, and Chaukambha peaks from the Chandrashila top. Chopta Chandrashila adventure is a perfect pick for first-timers and snow lovers. A beautiful high altitude pass or doorway, Kuari Pass was first explored by the British viceroy of India Lord Curzon in 1905. The pass is also known as Lord Curzon’s trail which is perched at an altitude of 3,876m.

It is a popular trekking destination and attracts trekkers & travelers from all across the world. Kuari Pass is a scenic trek which offer great landscapes of nature. The trek passes by thick rhododendron, oak & deodar forests, layers of snow, a variety of flora and fauna, along with the views of the snow-capped Himalayas. The trail is set with the trees of forests and meadows. You can easily catch the breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks like Kamet, Neelkanth, Dronagiri, Trishul, Hathi Ghoda, Mana, and a few others. Kuari Pass trek is a perfect choice for fit beginners and experienced trekkers. As the trail is tuff but gives a beginner experience of trekking in the Himalayas. The best time to visit is from December to March. If you are a snow lover then visit Kuari Pass in these months.

A religious glacier trek nestled in the Himalayas. Gangotri glacier is the source of the Ganges river and is the largest glacier in the Indian Himalayas. Gomukh Tapovan trek starts from Gangotri to the Gangotri glacier and is a short trek of 5 days. It is also a popular pilgrimage. The trek offers spectacular views of Mt. Shivling and the Bhagirathi Peaks, waterfalls, and pine forests. Tapovan is a diversified area of lush green grasslands. It is considered as the best high altitude meadow in the Himalayas. The trek starts from Dehradun and ends at Rishikesh.

The best time to visit is in May and June and September to December.
